The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, together with the Ministry of Defense, held the final stage of the Republican Military Sports Games for youth of pre-conscription and conscription age at the Hovhannes Baghramyan training military unit in Armavir region.
The military sports games were held in 4 stages. About 17,500 students from general education schools in the regions of the Republic of Armenia and Yerevan participated in the 2nd community stage of the games. The 4th, final stage competitions were attended by the teams of schools that took 1st places in the regions of the Republic of Armenia and Yerevan.
The program of the military sports games includes the following sports: grenade throwing (Ô-1 training), 8 kg backpack relay (4 x 50 m), pull-ups from a rotating bar, cross-country running (1000 m), shooting and rifle disassembly-assembly.
